5/17/2008 5K Run & Walk, 1/4 Mile Kids Run
Location: Village at Bay Harbor

Bay Harbor 5k Run & Walk, 1/4 Mile Kids Run
The course begins in the Village at Bay Harbor and runs along the shores of Bay Harbor Lake. The entire run is on paved roads. This fun-filled family event awards for 25 divisions for males and females. Awards ceremonies will follow the race with beverages and fruit provided for all participants. Enjoy an exciting day for the whole family with the Bay Harbor 5K Run & Walk and 1/4 mile kids race. This race is sanctioned by the Governor Council for physical fitness, health, and sports.
Proceeds benefit the Bay Harbor Foundation and Girls on the Run. The Bay Harbor Foundation is a charitable, nonprofit organization established to benefit organizations in northern, lower Michigan that provide programs in the arts, education, the environment and health and human services. Girls on the Run is a interactive running/life skills program for 3rd - 5th grades. The curriculum is designed to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of respect and healthy living.

BHEC Dressage Schooling Shows are a perfect opportunity for riders to display their knowledge in front of a judge and other spectators. These shows are laid back and a lot of fun. Even beginners can compete. Introductory levels through second level test 1 are offered. This year is the second year that we will be offering a prize banquet after the final show in the series. Placing will be kept track of at each show for all of the participants. The more you come the better your chances of winning a prize!

6/13/2008 - 6/15/2008 In-Water Boat Show
Location: Bay Harbor Lake Marina

In-water displays are presented from personal water crafts to mega yachts up to 95 feet. On-land displays can be found featuring custom made furniture and beds, nautical art, aerial photography, and all your boating needs to get you ready for the 2008 boating season.
Boat dealers from all over the mid-west attend this show and product comes from as far away as Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Walstrom Marine, Lake Michigan Yacht Sales, Skipper Buds, Yacht Works, and Powerquest are just a few exhibitors that are present. Demonstrations and live entertainment take place throughout the weekend.
Admission to the show is free so bring your family and come to the In-Water Boat Show!

Location: Village at Bay Harbor

The Bay Harbor Vintage Car & Boat Festival kicks off with an exciting evening Friday, June 20 highlighting the 3rd Bay Harbor Northern Michigan Dream Cruise Night. Anyone with a hot rod or muscle car can cruise the streets of Bay Harbor and participate in the evening of food, fun, and entertainment. This evening is open to the public and admission is free. If you have a classic car and would like to bring it to Bay Harbor Friday night, please contact the Bay Harbor Foundation at 231-439-2700.
Events continue throughout the day on Saturday, June 21 where vintage car and boat owners register to have their spectacular automobile or watercraft be named "Best in Show"! The morning will start with the roaring engines of fine vintage cars parading down Main Street for everyone to see. All cars will be displayed on the lawn panels and throughout the Village at Bay Harbor. For those of you who prefer boating walk along the docks and enjoy a beautiful collection of fine watercrafts. Make sure to stop by and enjoy as this day will be jammed packed with plenty to do and see!

8th Annual Bay Harbor Art Fair August 1 - 2, 2008
The 9th Annual Bay Harbor Art Fair will be held August 1 - 2, 2008! A collection of fine artists and craftsman showcasing their works in the beautiful Village at Bay Harbor, a shopping, dining, yachting, and lodging destination.
This two day show features painting, pottery, jewelry, fiber art, sculpture, photography, and more. Enjoy this fine collection of art and craft featuring original works from over 75 regional and national artists. All will be ready to assist you; answer questions about their work and perhaps help you solve your holiday needs early! While enjoying the show be sure to visit the boutique shops and delicious eateries located in the Village at Bay Harbor, where you are sure to find new favorites from shoes to sweets! Enjoy an evening of art, dining, live music, and shopping in the Village on Friday August 1st, festivities run until 8 pm!
The 9th annual Bay Harbor Art Fair is open to the public on Friday, August 1 from 12 pm - 8 pm and on Saturday, August 2 from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission and parking are complimentary. Location: Village at Bay Harbor
The 8th annual Bay Harbor Harvest Festival will take place Saturday, October 18 from noon to 4:00 pm. This year’s event will focus on families, shoppers and diners alike, with an array of autumn activities and merchandise.
Patrons attending the Harvest Festival will enjoy perusing the hottest fall and winter items at the fine Village shops located in downtown Bay Harbor or can shop for harvest goods at the farmers market on Main Street. Fresh produce, honey, mums, pumpkins, dog biscuits and wool crafts are some of the many items that will be offered for purchase at the event.
