The Night Auditor position involves bookkeeping as well as the role of Front Desk Agent to greet the guests and check for reservations, helping the guests to check in to their rooms.


  • Look for any mistakes in the entries made and rectify them using the receipts issued, balance the account books 
  • Manage the front desk during the night shift and answer phone calls
  • Welcome late arrival guests help them check in to the hotel
  • Generate bills for payment for guests who may check out during night time
  • Carefully calculate the bills and make entries for them in the books
  • Understand the services provided by the hotel and in the Village to answer the queries of the guests
  • Coordinate with the accounting office to generate and submit reports for transactions
  • Assist accounting office in calculating financials for the hotel
  • Responsible for possession of all the keys during their shift
  • In the morning prepare all financial documents; checks, credit receipts for the accounting office
  • Communicate with various hotel departments and managers

qualifications and skills

  • Proficient software skills in Microsoft Products
  • Springer Miller experience preferred
  • Exhibit proper etiquette on the phone and in person
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail
  • Have a positive attitude and participate as a team player 
  • Maintain clean and professional appearance
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge about ledger maintenance
  • Prior experience or courses in the latest accounting practices
