Sum-Sum-Summertime in Bay Harbor

We have heard from so many that they have never seen our Village bustling with so much activity. Our Village boutiques have a little something for everyone, and our restaurants are adhering to the social distancing guidelines.  We do have amazing open air outdoor patios at both KNOT…Just a Bar and Fox & Rose Fine Provisions. Salvatore’s is doing an amazing job serving up great salads and sandwiches, as well as having a fabulous selection of Heat n’ Eat Meals and steaks and burgers to grill at home or on your boat.  Bay Harbor Lake Marina is full of seasonal boaters enjoying the lazy, hazy days of summer and with Little Traverse Bay reaching a refreshing 60 degrees – it’s time to dip our toes in the water and enjoy the stunning scenery we have in our little corner of the world.

Bay Harbor also has amazing outdoor options for weddings and receptions, and there are many lined up from now until October. Our ceremony sites include the very popular Sunset Beach on the shores of Lake Michigan (be daring and be a barefoot bride!) The Observation Deck is also unique for a wedding ceremony. It is a large platform literally sitting in Little Traverse Bay, with the waves splashing the sides and boats gliding by in the distance. The Marina Lawn is the prime location for both a ceremony and/or reception. Sitting adjacent to the Lake Marina, the lush grass and lovely backdrop next to the docks on Bay Harbor Lake is a fabulous open air location for your special day.

If you haven’t visited the Village at Bay Harbor, we welcome you to come and enjoy all of our offerings – grab an ice cream cone at Candy Harbor, walk the docks or stroll through on your bike.  Buy a little treasure at one of our boutiques, or a little souvenir from our Bay Harbor logo store at the Village Hotel front desk.  Check out the great line-up of performances at Great Lakes Center for the Arts this summer as well.  Ride the Little Traverse Ferry from Bay Harbor to Petoskey and Harbor Springs, or enjoy a charter fishing trip from one of our great charters at the Marina.

The Bay Harbor Village Hotel offers suites and penthouses so you can stay “a little longer” and cherish the abundance of fresh air, lake breezes and charm of the area, and still be within just a short drive distance to several resort towns or a day trip to Mackinac Island.  There are also many amazing golf options to go play a round (or two!), and come back to relax on the patio of your suite while watching the sun set into the horizon over Little Traverse Bay.

Cheers to the remaining weeks of summer!  There is truly no better place to be than right here in Bay Harbor enjoying all that northern Michigan has to offer.
